To kick off my new blog, I thought it would be fun to share something personal. Before my husband and I found out what we were having, I knew that I wanted to have a space themed nursery no matter the gender. My husband is studying to be an aerospace engineer and loves everything that has to do with space. He often talks about how he wants our kids to grow up and be engineers like him.
With all of this in mind, I set out on a Pinterest and online shopping journey to start designing our nursery. The first item that I found was this vintage solar system poster. Immediately I knew that this was going to be the center of my inspiration. The rest sort of just fell into place. We don’t live far from a West Elm outlet, so I was able to get the dresser, changing topper, pillow cases, rocker, and outman at a great deal. I know what you are thinking. WEST ELM HAS AN OUTLET?!? Don’t worry, I had the same reaction when I found out. It has been awesome, and also too tempting to buy everything for our new house. The rocket ship basket is from Pottery Barn kids, and was probably the second thing that I had found for the nursery. I knew I wanted to stick to pretty neutral colors, so I went with this white modern crib. Also in hopes that we can use it for future siblings as well. I picked this room due to the amount of natural light it gets. (Showing my true photographer colors) I am so pleased with how everything turned out. Everything I could is linked in this post just in case you are in search for some of these decor items! Otherwise thanks for just stopping buy and taking a look of this proud moms work! Here’s to our baby baby boy loving his space themed nursery as much as we do!
