Wedding Day Itineraries? A Must!

TURNS OUT I'VE MISSED WEDDINGS....

This year has been full of crazy changes. I have moved to a different state, started working remotely with my job, and have been able to really dedicate my time to my business. With that being said I've decided to take a limited number of weddings on. This blog post will be the first of many regarding a helpful tips or inspiration for your wedding day!

For every newly engaged couple out there; I want to talk about one of the most exciting days of your lives! Your wedding is so-exciting, but it can also be the most stressful. I am here to help! In this blog post I am going to highlight four reasons why everyone planning a wedding should have an itinerary.

1. YOUR WEDDING VENDORS WILL LOVE YOU!

Having a wedding day itinerary helps everyone involved in making your special day come true. From a photographer stand point it helps to keep us organized and prepared for the day. All of your wedding vendors will know exactly when to arrive and where to set up.  This sets your expectations for your wedding vendors. It also provides a clear and precise time to of when to arrive and leave.

2. WHOOSAH

Having your wedding day planned out is a natural stress reliever. As a bride or a groom on you wedding day you will constantly get asked questions on your. Where do these flowers go? When does the photographer get here? Having an itinerary helps to keep everything on track, and allows you to concentrate on other important moments on your big day.

3. A WELL BEHAVED BRIDAL PARTY (WELL-SORT OF)

Giving your wedding day itinerary to your bridal party helps keep everyone in the know. The Bridal pary is there to support you on your special day and of course have a good time. It is easy to use your itinerary to make sure that you are efficient with the day and your bridal party knows where to be. As a photographer it helps me to capture the photos I need in a timely manner, and lets you and your bridal party get to celebrating.

4. JUST BREATHE

The best part about having an itinerary is that you can build time into your day to touch up makeup, and just breathe. This is going to be the best day of your life, and it will go by fast. Sometimes the best moments are caught when you get a chance to slow things down and take a breath.

I cannot stress enough how important an itinerary is. Hopefully this blog post has brought you some guidance and a starting point for your big day. Every one of my wedding couples receives an itinerary checklist at booking. This helps them to create their itinerary for their wedding day. Two weeks before the wedding we meet up and discuss the checklist or itinerary. This is a time for me to assist in making an itinerary if needed, and help create the expectations for everyone involved.
